The costs per one accused, or condemned person reach as much as 13 585,0 Eur annually.

There were 10 000 accused and condemned individuals in 2010. There is approximately one guard per two prisoners. To secure comfort and lack of freedom, the taxpayers paid 5 188 employees of prison´s and remand services. Total expenditures related to prisoning reached 0,14 mld. Eur in 2010. Equivalent of 25,0 Eur of taxes per capita annually.
